new board By Kim

I find the "gentle opposition" to this new board very interesting. I am on this site probably everyday and have seen posts regarding new boards starting.... not once have I seen this much controvery over a board. Yes, I| agree, we are all teachers, but who is it bothering that private schools or Christian school educators have their own board. It didn't seem to bother anyone that Special Education teachers have their own board to post their unique questions, etc. I guess I really don't see the difference. I don't think I would get much response from teachers in public school if I posted a message about | | needing information regarding specific Christian curriculum or if I was wondering how you do your devotions in the morning with your students... now, yes, a few Christian school or private school teachers MAY see my post, but it would make more sense to post those types of questions on a board set aside for private school teachers. I think that is all that is being said about having this new board. These types of posts will get more and quicker reponses on their own board. The same for Special Educators. I wouldn't have the first clue about their specific needs - it makes more sense to ask those types of questions on their own board. It is more helpful for them. That is the whole purpose of this site is for us to help one another as best as we can as educators. Providing assistance in order to help each other be all we can for our kids is what should be at the top of our list; not "gently fussing" about a board for private or Christian school teachers. Let's try being supportive of each other, no matter what teaching situation we are in (or what board we are on).
