Goodness, when I posted that question-I wasn't expecting a debate! LOL! I personally, although I wasn't the original seeker of the board, am interested in a Christian board due to the fact that I am a Christian educator
in a Catholic school but if a Public board is where I can post questions etc, about Catholic religion topics then I am all for it! Personally, I feel private is different than Christian due to the whole purpose associated behind it. My reason for teaching and my school's reason for my teaching is that of the Catholic religion. Does this topic concern everybody-no? that's why we should

have a special area for this topic. It would be beneficial. I think Karla addressed it well also to state "There are certain religious topics that many prospective posters would not be comfortable addressing on the other boards. " Julie-to answer your question-"you should be able to use all the ideas shared here in the busy board, or in the specific grade level support board, correct? The only aspects that would differ between public and private are salaries and religious curriculum, right?" Yes, and they ARE super ideas. ( I would also say that the salaries between public and private are even different than for a Christian teacher, too, but that is not what I am interested in. It is the religious curriculum and even support needed for teaching the religious curriculum and how to incorporate into other subject areas. Plus many other topics geared only for that type of educator. And finally, LTT-thank you, I am only one 2nd grade teacher at my school. WE invite the public school teachers to a breakfast every year. But there is no other contact-unfortunately. So thank you for bringing up that point.
