papers By Pam

I use the folder method, as well, when I send papers home. The one thing I learned to do is write the total number of papers that were being sent home in red ink. Some of my students were pulling out the bad grades and| not showing them to the parents. I told my parents that the number of papers will always be indicated and the papers will always be stapled. I also assign students a number at the beginning of the school year. The numbers coincide with their last names, alphabetically. When I collect the papers, I immediately put them in numerical order, which means they will be automatically in alphabetical | | order as well. This helps with recording grades, I can go straight down the line and not have to hunt down a name. When I collect the home folders I call on them by number, I am able to directly file them since they are already alphabetical. I hope this helps.
