papers
By Pam

Clip to ScrapBook
I use the folder method, as well, when I send papers home. The one thing I learned to do is write the total number of papers that were being sent home in red ink. Some of my students were pulling out the bad grades and
not showing them to the parents. I told my parents that the number of papers will always be indicated and the papers will always be stapled. I also assign students a number at the beginning of the school year. The numbers coincide with their last names, alphabetically. When I collect the papers, I immediately put them in numerical order, which means they will be automatically in alphabetical
order as well. This helps with recording grades, I can go straight down the line and not have to hunt down a name. When I collect the home folders I call on them by number, I am able to directly file them since they are already alphabetical. I hope this helps.
