Clean slate
By Pam

Clip to ScrapBook
Be glad she cleaned out the room for you! I have been left with crumbling worksheets, faded paper and old dried paint cans..better to not spend the first days cleaning up after her. You will be spending lots of money as a teacher-goes with the territory-get yourself a GOOD pair of scissors, start collecting children's literature for your units, and try to scrounge up so math manipulatives (beans will work just fine).Make a trip to the custodian and see what furniture is in storage. Your room just needs to look clean and organized. Overly decorated rooms are more for looks than the kids, I think!
