Returning Papers
By Beth

Clip to ScrapBook
I have run into the same problem in my classroom in years past. I started sending home a laminated manila envelope with a sign and return sheet on the front. I would let parents know through my weekly newsletter what tests to prepare for in that week. Every Monday, students' folders went home with the previous week's graded papers in them. If a parent didn't seem to get their child's math test, I would give them the grade out of the grade book and ask them to check with their child on the whereabouts of the paper. Parents knew to sign and return the folder each week, and I left a section on the sheet where parents could send notes if they had a question or a concern. This sheet had enough lines on it for half of the school year. Hope this helps you out!
