Math Assessments
By Kristin

Clip to ScrapBook
For placement, I am assuming you mean if a student should be in a higher/lower level class. The best way is a test with a clear cut-off for different class levels. We also use our State Test Scores.

In class we use lots of types of assessments. Some that I use include story problems (they write and answer them), posters, notebooks, mini-books, and art activities in which they have to explain the math used. We will also be using the Accelerated Math program, which could be used as an assessment...and for placement.
