2/3 Split!!

Hey I am also a 2/4 split joiner! I taught 2nd grade last year. I have had some help with ideas from a teacher who has done this. It is alot of extra planning. Basically I think it all in how it fits you. There are 2 curriculum
to teach. The key I think is to know how much time you will need with each subject everyday. I am doing simple centers in the morning while I teach reading to one grade. I am using the 2nd grade recess to teach the 3rd grade math and vice versa for the 3rd grade recess. There will be alot of manipulating in the beginning to see what works.ALot more seatwork too for each grade to

keep busy. Also, I am getting students who are independent workers who have low behavior problems. That will help alot too. Maybe we can penpal? Let me know what you find that works and I will too!
