toads

We also had a toad as a pet. One of my students caught her and brought her in. We put her in a small fish tank with a lid and a small bowl of water. The kids LOVED catching food for her--they would bring in worms, crickets, and any other insect they could find. My husband bought her some meal worms and crickets as well, so she was pretty well fed. The student took her back home with him at the end of the year.This was a very easy pet to have...the only "problem" is they have to have live food--they will not eat anything dead, which I didn't know at the time.
