Hi Kelly I am also interested in implementing the 4 blocks for 4rth grade. A new (I think) book came out called Modifying the 4 blocks for Upper grades..and even a handy lesson plan book to accompany it! You can order it off the 4 Blocks website I believe.
I would love to share ideas about how to work it out. I also used their month by month phonics book which has GREAT monthly word wall words and activities for them. It helps me teach the prefix and suffix type standards--and it basically gives you the lessons for the WORDS block!
