To paddle or not to paddle

Ok.. I am sure a lot of you are going to attack me (as usual) on this.. but I can't help it.. I wish that this option was allowed here.. I personally don't think that I could actually paddle a child, but to be able to hold something like that over their heads would be just great!I have students here that will spit in your face, punch you, you name it.. and you can't do anything but give them a detention. I definitely would love this! This gives a little more power back to the teacher.. Maybe the option could be that the parent comes in, and in front of the teacher, paddles their own child, like 1 or 2 swats.. What state do you live in?
