CLARIFICATION ON "BOOKS FOR EVERY STUDENT" By maxie

I noticed that many of you have commented that there is no need for textbooks for every student.

CLARIFICATION: What I meant by books is NOT textbooks but NOVELS. I'm an English teacher. Yes, Yes, Yes do away with textbooks. But please, an English teacher not having any novels to teach with? ...not the most enriching situation for students.

I would also like to thank everyone for your replies. I agree, it is hard to give such advice.
