2nd grade help

Donna, I hope you are truly willing to share and ideas on any subject you may have. Next year will be my 17th to teach. I've taught grades Pre-K-8, including at-risk programs, GED, and an alternative school. I've not taught grades K or 1st but the last time I taught 2nd grade was 15 years ago. I'm not overly thrilled about jumping down three grade levels but I am willing to get it my best shot. Can you send me anything that might just make me feel a little better or a word of caution? I would love to hear from you and keep you informed on how the year progresses. Thank you for anything you send my way. Deb
