Math ideas

Clip to ScrapBook
Paige,

Maybe they could design their own Math Board Game. Break them into small groups and using things like a poster board (for the game board), markers, dice, contruction paper, bingo chips etc. they design a game, rules
and all, based on whatever math concept you are teaching. Check that the games work by trading each game with another group- see if they can understand the rules and play the game through to the end.

Or... how about a Math Scavenger Hunt! The students work in small teams or pairs to solve problems that you give them. After they solve each problem, and show it to you, you give them

a clue to figure out. After all the problems are solved correctly, and all clues are collected they will be lead them to some kind of surprise!

Hope these help!
