I agree...but here's my thing with Harry Wong

No one can run a successful classroom if you don't enforce your rules. In that sense, being strict is a great thing, even necessary.

My problem with Harry Wong is that I think he goes too far sometimes. I remember reading
a comment he makes about how school shouldn't be fun, because the real world isn't fun. A lot of his philosophies seem to revolve around that. His classroom is a place where kids get down to business, sit quietly, do work, and don't have a say in a whole lot. That aspect of his beliefs goes very much against my own. I believe that if I can make learning fun, students will be more
interested and will learn more. They get work done, but they have as much freedom as they can handle. I love giving students projects and letting them sit on the floor or wherever they want to. I like giving them a say in their education. Wong just doesn't seem to go with this. He treats his students, it seems, like little adults, when they're really still kids!
