Movie Idea
By Jennifer

Clip to ScrapBook
Bulletin Board..
1. "Meet The Stars"...could have a picture of each child, with a brief autobiography underneath.

2. On a movie marquis-type board, Featuring...Mrs. ___ 3rd Grade Class, Starring....(students' names)"

One
year I did this with my second graders at the end of the year...They took left over laminating film and cut them into strips(you could also use transparency film) and they made "scenes" of a story. (It could be their own story or a familiar one). We used the over-head and they told their "movie".

You need to take a piece of construction paper and only cut a square that will

only show one scene at a time. Then you weave the film strip into the construction paper. This way only one scene will show at a time. I drew the boxes for the scenes beforehand.

The students really took off with the idea and made a sign for outside of the classroom, they "sold" tickets, and "food", had ushers to seat people, etc. It was good for money, cooperation, and language arts!
