pencil parade

Clip to ScrapBook
One of my daughter's teachers had a routine each morning that each child had to have 4 sharpened pencils each day. The kids would hold them up and she flew threw the rows dropping an index card cut in half with a sticker or symbol on it when they were prepared. Each child had to be responsible for their stickers and when they had accumulated 20 they turned them in for a small prize. Children were also given these index cards throughout the day for amazing answers, hw signed and completed etc. For the price of a bag of lollipops or tootsie rolls peace prevailed. I think I would have the child write the assignment in crayon on looseleaf paper and copy if over for homework.
