It was great! :)

I just finished my first year of teaching - 5th grade! I did part of my student teaching in 5th grade 13 years ago and loved that age then!

I had a wonderful year-you can do so much with students when they are a little older. I especially enjoy seeing their creativeness.

A benefit of the older students is that they are "seasoned" students, and already know how to work quietly (let's hope!) and understand about discipline, consequences, deadlines, school rules, etc.

If you feel like you would enjoy that age, I think you would have a great year!
