virtual mentoring

Clip to ScrapBook
The program I work with is through Cal State San Bernardino Special Education and it is called Virtual BTSA (we won't even go into the California progam BTSA now required most places in California for new teachers) and it is done web based. We have classroom cams to do observations and demos, we meet in private chat rooms to talk and we meet on at least a weekly chat basis. We also follow the set program by the State, but do some real practical things too.

The big advantage is time....rather than yet another meeting after school we meet at night via the web. It also gives some perspective to situations giving more time to reflect.

Anyway...seems like a good program. We've done it for a year and both of us have gotten some good things from it!
