Hi,
I did my student teaching in a lang arts class. I loved it.. You will too! There are so many things that you can do..
Ideas:
Have a word wall..
here you can put hard spelling words, unusual
vocabulary words.. you name it..
There are a lot of great posters that you can buy at www.smilemakers.com to find them, type in posters in the search. Have a bulletin board for the story that you will be teaching.. Here you can have like a story web.. where you place the title, characters, conflict, etc..
Get a timer.. Just a regular kitchen timer.. I would have never thought | |
about this, but it is so handy.. When you time the class for something, there are no questions about how much time they have left, etc.. I bought books about poetry. I read to the class everyday from it. I also read 'Because of Winn-Dixie" they loved that one.. feel free to email me if you want to chat..
