pencil sharpening
By kathy

Clip to ScrapBook
I had a child driving me to distraction as he lost a pencil at least every 15 minutes. I tried everything and finally used a small eye screw and attached it to the pencil, then attached that to some embroidery floss. I taped the floss/pencil to his desk. He was not allowed to take it from his desk. If it needed sharpening, I did it. At first he thought that he was someone really special with his colorful pencil. Then he realized that he would not be able to work anywhere else in the room because he had to be where his pencil was. He became more responsible for his pencil.
