decisions
By Amy L.

Clip to ScrapBook
Our district works the same way most of the time; you know there'll be some openings, but decisions are made late. Also...internal transfers have to be covered first, before newer people can have a chance. I was hired 5 days before school started my first year. Whether to look elsewhere now depends on a few things. Do you have the option to sub next year vs. being full-time somewhere? Do you really like the district, so are willing to wait it out? Can you deal with the daily commute to either the 30 mile or the 60 mile areas? What is the procedure in your district for bidding on a position? We have weekly postings, with closing dates for bids stated. This isn't much of a response, regarding making the decision...but I'll be hoping for the best for ya!
