Clip to ScrapBook
I just finished my first year teaching as well. I have to say that I am an organized freak! I can't stand a messy classroom. Some things that I done are:
*I made five file folders for each day of the
week to put
the daily assignments in. I put
these in my desk drawer--this is great for subs.
*Speaking of subs, I made a substitute folder
listing helpful info.
*I made a phonebook listing my students and their
parents info. This was placed by the phone for
easy access.
*I labeled a shelf with dividers- one for
independent work, guided work, extra handouts,
theme worksheets, etc. This was great for me
and for subs who sometimes need extra classwork!
*I have 3 ring binders for each month of the year and I place all worksheets that go with the theme or month of the year inside these.
A place for everything and everything in its place!!!!---A GREAT MOTO!
I hope this helps and as always anyone having additional ideas would be great!
