word wall
By e ward

Clip to ScrapBook
Bard, I have never taught special ed. but my first graders had a word wall. They liked it but what they really liked was when I put the words on flash cards and everyday we would play a game with the flash cards. I would give everyone a card and at the end of the game , I would count each person s words. The person with the most words would get a treat. Everyday to the end of the school year, my students wanted to do the words as they call it. For an autistic student, do you think that many words would be a bit too much. I don't know because I have never taught autistic students.
