BUBBLE GUM
By TERESA WILSON

Clip to ScrapBook
I HAVE TWO COMMENTS. FIRST, TRY A REAL GUMBALL OR CANDY MACHINE ON YOUR DESK. I GOT MINE AT COSTCO AND MY KIDS LOVE IT!!!!! I GIVE THEM THE QUARTERS FOR THE MACHINE WHEN THEY HAVE EARNED THE REWARD AND THEY USE THEIR OWN
AT THE END OF THE DAY OR AT RECESS TO BUY A TREAT. THIS MONEY HELPS TO PAY FOR THE CANDY (SKITTLES, CANDY HEARTS, JELLY BEANS, ETC.) THAT I BUT FOR THE MACHINE.
SECOND, A FRIEND OF MINE USED A SYSTEM VERY SIMILAR TO YOURS. EACH DAY THE STUDENTS GOT A GUMBALL ON THEIR INDIVIDUAL MACHINE THAT WAS POSTED ON A BULLETIN BOARD. IF THE STUDENT HAD A PROBLEM DURING THE DAY, THEY LOST THE
GUMBALL FOR THAT DAY. AT THE END OF THE MONTH THERE WAS A REWARD MOVIE OR POPCORN PARTY, ETC. STUDENTS WERE REQUIRED TO HAVE A CERTAIN NUMBER OF GUMBALLS IN ORDER TO ATTEND/PARTICIPATE. THEY GOT NEW MACHINES EACH MONTH.
