Hi there! I don't blame you for not wanting to do the "no recess" thing because it's a waste of time and the student doesn't learn from his/her mistake. I have seen that when party or something is planned, the student is not allowed to go to the party because of misbehavior. Kids want to be with their friends, so they will hate this and not mess up again. I suppose a behavior plan will work if the behavior gets out of control. Instead of working on consequences, work on goals...Good Luck!
