"Teach for Georgia" 4-week program
By Valerie

Clip to ScrapBook
The first time I responded to your post, I didn't notice that you lived in Georgia. Sunday's newspaper (Atlanta Journal-Constitution) had another article about this program that had some information I didn't know before.

For instance: "Those interested in Teach for Georgia are asked to apply for a job with a school system first." If school officials want to hire them, the district will have to put the applicants through a Teacher for Georgia program."

My principal mentioned that she wasn't so sure she'd be willing to hire a Teach for Georgia candidate. I didn't ask her why she felt that way, it was just a comment she made one afternoon in the office.

If you get a chance to read the article, I'd be curious to know how you feel about it.
