Hi Jennifer,
I'd suggest rather than a text, try posing your own problems...the book, Cognitively Guided Instruction would be ideal for you to have as you're constructing (and letting the kids construct) problems real and relevant to them. The book comes with 2 CD roms, which contain clasroom vignettes, and lots of other helpful resources...It's co-published by Heinemann & NCTM. Good luck. Debbie ;-D
