I am completing my first year of teaching in Daly City. Our district is suffering from dropping enrollment, too but I know just as last year, many teachers move on or retire and even though the talk sounds bleak, don't be discouraged- even our district is hiring & at my school alone there are several vacancies. Are you interested in 5th or 6th grade? Be flexible in your grade level & I'm sure you'll find something. Good Luck!
