TAAS Testing

I teach in Texas and the TAAS test is EVERYTHING in education. The stress is crazy! We have tutored the students for an hour and a half Mon.-Wed. AFTER school, we implemented a pull-out program, we did in-school tutorials, and 3 benchmark testing, and last but not least we had several Saturday schools. I would love to say that all that prepartion did wonders, but alot of the kids were so burned out and stressed by the time testing day came, they gave up, got sick, or just didn't try. Now I am holding my breath until the results come in. I am like a mad woman because we have all taught our little hearts out and all that will matter is testing results- which depends on the child.
