Resources:

Apprenticeship in Literacy by Dorn, French & Jones. Stenhouse Publisher

Dorn & Soffas have a new book coming out soon titled Shaping Literate Minds. Stenhouse. Should be great.

Literacy in the 21st Century by Gail Tompkins.

Guided Reading and Writing Grades 3-6 by Pinnell & Fountas.

Our district grades K-3 use flexible grouping and it is so successful for the students. You have the opportunity to move into other groups and not always be stuck in a certain group. I recommend it highly.
