I can relate, too.

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi, I also am a single, young childless teacher in a school where many parents have made negative comments. In fact, 4 out of the 5 teachers at our school do not have children and are single. Plus since we are all in our
first few years of teaching, we have heard many times about how inexperienced we are and that is the reason for some problems in the school (not true!). It is frustrating, but I look at it like this...yes, I am young, but I have energy and fun, new ideas and I love what I do. It's not like you can just go pick up a husband or wife up at the grocery store one day!!! I just hope this
wouldn't make you quit. A husband or wife doesn't make you a better teacher....what makes you a better teacher is the kind of person and teacher you are. That's what those parents need to realize! Keep up the good work and keep smiling
