Thanks for responding to my sound off. Ir eally needed to get this off my chest. This was not an isolated incident, it was just the straw that broke the camel's back. I had a rough year last year and this year actually
turned out to be worse. I agree with most of you that I should try somewhere else first and I think I will. This school, this class, and this year were just too much for me to handle. I know much of it stems from the home life and several of my kids had bad things going on at home this year that they seemed to bring in the classroom. I was unable t give them the right environment, or

the one they needed. You title 1 people are great. I believe the best teachers and the most money should go into these schools. And title 1 teachers should be paid a bit more. It simply makes sense with the population of kids. Anyway, no it was not just one incident. I have been draggin kids out in the hallway half of the year and having kids leave my classroom on their own to run around in the halls, slamming doors and two knives brought to school. One of my girls hit the principal in the face. I certainly do not blame ebvrything on the school, administration, or the kids. In the end it was my inability to find the acceptable elvel of control and sanity that did it. ----I am glad you are going to try title one again next year. I know my second year started out much easier than the first. It probaly would have remained that way if not for a few unfortunate factors. That you want to come back shows soemthing important. The kids NEED people that WANT to be there.
