Teaching your own child
By Kimes

Clip to ScrapBook
I will be teaching my own child in two years. There won't be any choice about it unless I can convince another teacher to switch grades with me, and that is not likely, as I am the "new kid on the block". So, I know I will have to do my very best to seperate home from school. My biggest fear is that my child will be picked on as the "teacher's kid." Have any of you who have taught your own children experienced this? Can you honestly deal with this situation as a teacher, and not as a parent of an upset child? The reason I bring this up is that I have seen this happen to several other teachers in my school.
