Maternity
By Mark Slack

Clip to ScrapBook
I took over for a teacher who also left for maternity leave, back in December. All I can tell you is to go into it with a firm classroom management idea. The students will not see you as a teacher , but will see you as just a substitute. You need to let them know who is in charge with out being known as " the mean teacher".
I did not use this approach and I paid for it for about a month. I have managed to gain control of my class and I am finally being respected.
Hang in there, it is a great experience.
