in French schools...

Clip to ScrapBook
Every child in a French school must get 26 hours of teaching per week, 35 weeks and 2 days per year. Teachers have 36 hours of inservice per year + 2 days in September and must arrive 10 minutes early and leave 10 minutes after dismissal. There are usually 2 20- to 30-minutes recesses per day ( teachers supervise, usually one recess a day or less). Some districts choose to teach 4 days a week, and shorten their summer holidays.
