Hang in there!!

Jessica--
You are not alone! There are more teachers out there that have a rough 1st year then don't. College and student teaching don't do much to prepare you for that first day or that first year. It is trail and eroor and hoping you find at least one person to get advice from! My first year was rough and I had many parent problems (5th graders) because I was so young and they didn't want to listen, but I learned more that year than I would have ever thought! (Good and bad!) Don't quit--good teachers are needed! Take the summer to relax and you will have a much better 2nd year! I promise!
