I can completely sympatheize with you!!!!!! O am in my first full year of teaching after working asan aide for 2 full years and going back to school to obtain my masters degree in special education (I graduated with an undergrad
6-12 in History) I thought I would be well prepared and was more than eager. This did not last. After a very stressfull and unsupportive year it has not gotton better. The students continue to test the waters with just 5 weeks left of school. The further into the school year we go, the more they want to control their room and be the center of attention and these are 8th and
7th graders!!!!! Rather than looking forward to the end of the school year, I am looking forward to the start of next year and know now that I will make a lot of changes and that the kids from this year will go on to another teacher having gained something, even if it is only greater knowledge of how not to do something. Hang in there!!!!!
