I'm afarid this is normal
By Susie

Clip to ScrapBook
It is normal (to a degree) to feel this frustation. Every teacher I know felt like this during their first year. It probably doesn't make you feel any better, but it will get better!

It may be that you would feel happier in a primary grade. You know how pre-teens are...all attitude!
If you really think that this isn't the place for you, try to transfer to another grade level.

On the other hand, if you stick around, you may come to relate and even appreciate the exuberance of this age group. (Not me, by the way...I won't go higher than 5th!)
