Frustrated
By Beth

Clip to ScrapBook
Don't give up yet. You sound so much like I did...this is my third year and my second career. I went back to school after being a hopital chemist to enter teaching and teach 6-8 grade. They are a trip. The one thing that shocked me is that no matter what, the parents believe the kid's stories over the professional. This was a big adjustment and has resulted in the most frustration for me. It takes a while to establish yourself and let the kids see that you are in control and that what you are doing is better than boring stuff in some classes. You will win some over; some you never will. I'm convinced it just takes time. You will get a thicker skin when you are more sure of yourself.
