leaving By Cathy-Dee

I think from your last email that it may have been more the secretary than your principal. He may have not known what had happened and that's why he didn't respond to you the first time. I'm guessing that he knew it would| be you most likely who would have to leave as it most schools it is the person who is hired last (unless no one else in the school can fill the position the last person hired teaches - speciality position like music or special ed). He may have then put in a call to your human resources department and other principals because he wanted to make sure you did have a job to go to. And then | | someone may have called the school and instead of giving the message to the principal the secretary may have assumed you knew and.... the rest of course happened. Now that he has "apologized", you might want to let him off the hook so to speak by going in and letting him know that you're not as upset, it was just a shock for you, and that you really loved working for him and the school. This will keep things open in case a year or two down the road a position opens up. And will also perhaps help with your placement to a new school close by. He may have also been embarrassed you found out this way too.
Regardless I wish you well and echo the cyber hug! Let us know what happens.
