Response to being laid off

I think your principal definetly owes you a better explanation of why you are being laid off and if he/she does not give you one, then you should go to the higher ups. That situation is ridiculous. The least that your principal owes you is a valid explanation. On the other hand, maybe it is better that you not work at a school that does not value you as a teacher. There are tons of teaching jobs out there I am sure you will find one that is right for you.
