Field day
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Kasey,
Our PE teachers host the most wonderful field days...areas are set up all over the playground for activities, with a rotating master schedule. We are a huge school, so we have the intermediate kids help with
the primary day.
Some of the most enjoyable activities are: Drip-Drip-Splash...take small plastic containers and poke small holes in the bottom. Use two large tubs, one filled with water at the starting line, the other at a finish line empty, for each team. Teams line up at the starting line, one player from each dips his/her cup into the water tub, positions it above the head and
runs to the finish line where the water (whatever's left) is collected. Teams race to the finish, adding water to their ending bucket to fill the bucket to a certain level, or so each player may race 1 or more times...Another is Duck, Duck, Goose except the player who is chosing the goose uses a cup of water to dump on the goose's head when choosing. Parachute games are another popular choice. War ball in the PE room is another cool down activity. We have scooter hockey, and the usual races, etc. All participants get ribbons, no places in primary. Have fun!!!
