Reading Ideas
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi all,
If you want to do small group shared and guided reading groups; there are several publishers of excellent books for emergent and early readers. Wright, Rigby, RC Owens, Storyteller, among others all publish books for your levels.
For a whole group, I like the idea of author studies or a genre study. This year, we too did Kevin Henkes. Also Eric Carle (my kinders absolute favorite), Ezra Jack Keats, Rosemary Wells, Anthony Browne, Mem Fox as well as personal narratives & folk tales... If you are looking for good professional books to help you craft lessons in comprehension (for these interactive read alouds) try Guided Reading, or Strategies That Work. If you would like publisher information, please email. ;-D Debbie
