Hi! I am currently student teaching in the fourth grade in Lincoln Nebraska and I love it! You will love the kids' point of view on life. With fourth graders high expectations can cure a lot of problems. Make them accountable for their learning. If you give them an inch they will definetly take a mile. As long as you give complete and clear instructions to them it will answer lots of questions. Be specific with everything you say and do. Compared to older students they can do general instructions on their own. In the 4th grade they must have some direction. You will love this age! Good luck!!
