Nc teacher
By Beth

Clip to ScrapBook
I did go to NC from PA. I was in the ILP program mentioned, but I was there 1 1/2 years past, and I did not have to be a part of the portfolio. It is not a big deal though. I did have to be trained for it. It is a matter
of paying fees for certification, as long as your praxis score is accepted in NC. PA's was higher, so I was alright. The ILP program is no more than a few meetings, and the average observations every teacher must get, new or not. I worked in Hoke County, A GREAT PLACE!!! I recommend it to all who will go to NC. Small, but WONDERFUL! Just a note, do not really look into cost of
living, it really is not too different, unless you go to a big city, or Alaska/Hawaii. Look at the pay you will get, look at the bills that go with you when you move. That is the big difference. I loved NC, and I hope you will also! Honestly, if you want NC call Chermaine Butler Hoke County Personell Director, 910-875-3658. I am waiting to go back there!! They will send you an application! Good luck! By the way, Staesville has a great store called JR's, look it up, teachers can get a lot there...
