Grocery Store.

Clip to ScrapBook
I have spent the last few days planning my unit for this term. I have typed out a worksheet where the children write down the name of 5 items they wish to buy plus the cost. They must add it up before they take it to the cashier. The cashier has another sheet where they add it up. Subtraction comes in with working out how much change. I have just come back from a pre loved toy store where I bought several baskets, trolley, scales and plastic food items. It was $30A. I have also decided to include weighing in my shop. We will have ice cream containers full of beans, pasta, wheat seeds. Length measuring will be wool. I am going to sticky tape a tape measure onto the serving counter and the cashier must measure off 1 metre etc.
