Reading Series

This is my first year teaching and this year my school also bought a new reading program for our school. We are using Scott Foresman in grades K-6. I teach first grade and it is a very nice reading series, my only problem with the series is that it seems to not have room for different levels and abilities of students. If they are not able to keep up then they are left behind. The program has an excellent phonics approach and really seems to be getting to the students with song charts, games and poems. Hope this helps!
