Organization skills
By LL

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi. I am a third and fourth grade teacher. It sounds like you are doing a great job teaching organization. I pretty much do the same things you did with your class. We have a three ring binder and folders for each class,
also. The assignments are posted daily and the students copy their assignments in a assignment notebook daily. At the beginning of the year I signed each student's notebook so that the parents knew I looked at the student's book after it was filled out. I have backed off from checking all the books because time is so limited. However, I still sign the assignment notebooks of those
students who have trouble with organization, etc. In return, the parents also sign the notebooks so I know that the parents were informed and they knew about the child's homework. You can only do so much then it should be uo to the chils and parents. I think you are doing a great job. Keep up the good work!!!!
