breaking things

Clip to ScrapBook
Our elementary school took a different approach. We try to catch kids being good and make a positive example of them. We printed up tablets with a place for the student name and check off Lifeskills they were using: responsibility,
caring, friendship, teamwork, problem solving, integrity, etc. All the teachers and noon-duty aides have these and are encouraged to hand them out to all the students at anytime. When a student receives one he/she can deposit it in a decorated container in the cafeteria. Once a week they pull one out for 1-3 and one for 4-6 and that student is recognized and gets something free
from the student store. Any prize system would work. This has been very motivating and an opportunity to make an example of good things that are happening.!! Good luck!
