Spring Fever
By Kathleen

Clip to ScrapBook
I have had the same problem. In my class we have communication books that we send back and forth from home every day. On the front I have the days of the week and the kids write a message about something we did that day.
I have done this since the beginning of the year and just this week I added a daily behaviour self evaluation on the back. The put a smiley face for great, a straight mouth for so-so and a sad face for I need to improve on this. I have about 5 behaviours listed and they self evaluate them all each afternoon. Then beside theirs I put mine. It sounds time consuming but truly it isn't it takes
me about 5 minutes to get around to the whole class. Usually they are right on and their behaviour has improved knowing that they are going to need to do this at the end of the day and also knowing that mom and dad are going to see it. I teach grade 2.
